Who we are

Aussie Koala Web Care builds, hosts, moves and looks after websites, and does honest SEO. When this policy says “we” or “us,” that’s who we mean. You can reach a real person any time through our contact page.

What we collect

We only collect what we actually need — never “just in case”:

• When you fill in a form (Contact, Plans, or anywhere else on the site): your name, your email, your phone number if you choose to give it, and whatever you write in the message.
• When you run the free Website Check: the website address you ask us to assess. The scanner does not require your name, email or signup, and its results appear on the page.
• Optional analytics: Google Analytics (through Site Kit) and Microsoft Clarity help us understand aggregate site usage and interaction, such as which pages are useful. Once Aussie Koala Consent is enabled, these optional Analytics technologies are intended to run only if you grant Analytics consent.

Why we collect it

• To answer you when you get in touch.
• To show you the Website Check results on the page.
• To understand which parts of the site actually earn their keep.

If we don’t have a genuine use for something, we don’t ask for it.

Where it lives, and who sees it

Information you choose to submit through our forms is used to respond to your request. Running the current Website Check does not require your name or email, and its results appear on the page.

The services we lean on

We use a few trusted third parties to keep the place running: Google Analytics (through Site Kit) and Microsoft Clarity for optional Analytics, Amazon Web Services for hosting, and reCAPTCHA where needed to protect a form from spam and abuse. Once Aussie Koala Consent is enabled, optional Analytics is intended to load only after Analytics consent is granted. Each provider handles information under its own privacy terms.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies or browser storage where required for core website functions, the first-party Website Check, forms and security. Necessary technologies may still operate where required to provide the site or a service you request. reCAPTCHA may be used conditionally to protect forms.

Google Analytics (through Site Kit) and Microsoft Clarity are our current optional Analytics services. Once Aussie Koala Consent is enabled, optional Analytics is not intended to load unless you grant Analytics consent.

You will be able to choose Accept all, Reject non-essential or Manage preferences. You can later reopen Cookie Preferences to change or withdraw your choice. You can also use your browser’s own cookie and storage controls.

How long we keep it

We hold your details for as long as we need them to help you, and no longer. If you’d like us to delete what we hold about you, just ask (see below) and we’ll sort it.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• show you what we hold about you,
• correct anything that’s wrong,
• delete it entirely.

Get in touch and we’ll take care of it — no hoops, no forms within forms.

Keeping it safe

We take sensible steps to protect your information. But we’ll be straight with you: no website on earth is bulletproof, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. If anything ever went wrong, we’d tell you.

Children

Our services and the Website Check are meant for businesses and the grown-ups running them. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the date below. No sneaky midnight rewrites.
